How It Began

When I first had my girls, I belonged to a fellowship/Bible study/prayer circle of women with young children from my church, and I really valued our time together.  This group disbanded, though, so I started the Living Stones Women's Ministry in February 2014 to give moms with young children a place to come in the midst of the busyness of our lives to be fed and filled by the Holy Spirit.
We met for over three years, and became beautifully multi-generational,
with women in their 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s!

We used to meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. for a time of fellowship, prayer, and discussion. We also had periodic social and mission/ service activities. You can see below some of the books we discussed, the service we engaged in, and the social meet-ups we enjoyed.

When I moved away, it wasn't feasible for our members to make the longer commute,
so we stopped meeting during the summer of 2017.

I continue to think of this blog as a place to write about faith, spirituality, Christian living, discipleship, prayer, Christian parenting, scripture, worship, spiritual practices, and the like.
